Itinerary

(Guwahati to Guwahati)

Day 1 : Guwahati to Shillong

On arrival at Guwahati Airport / Railway station, We start our journey from Guwahati towards Shillong , Shillong is called ‘Scotland of the East’ (100 km 4 hrs). Enroute visit Umiam Lake, a majestic placid lake with its surrounding sylvan hills. On arrival at Shillong, check in at your hotel.

Dinner and Overnight stay at Shillong.

Day 2 : Shillong – Mawlynnong – Dawki – Shillong

After early breakfast drive to Mawlynnong – “Asia’s Cleanest Village”. Enroute you will pass through Shillong View point, Elephant Falls and Mawjngih Lapynshongdor.

Mawlynnong – “Asia’s Cleanest Village”. Mawlynnong offers many interesting sights such as the living root bridge and another strange natural phenomenon of a boulder balancing on another small rock.

After that proceed to another small rock & Dawki, The Bangladesh Border and a large river basin, here at the border you will see that not all borders have barbed wire fencing and you can roam about in No Man’s land and go till Bangladesh checkpoint. You can enjoy here boating at Dawki boating point (on your own expense). In evening head back to Shillong. Stay overnight at your hotel in Shillong.

Day 3 : Shillong to Guwahati

After breakfast visit Ward’s Lake. After that drive to Guwahati. Enroute visit ‘Kalakshetra’, a place where Assamese history and culture is presented through Light and sound show.

Airport/ Railway Station drop. Departure from Guwahati.
